    COURSE DIRECTOR FOR BASIC SCIENCES

    OFFICE OF MEDICAL EDUCATION

    The Office of Medical Education within the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University is currently seeking candidates for a full-time, non-tenure open rank faculty position. The ideal candidate is expected to have extensive experience in the areas of molecular and clinical genetics. The faculty will teach in system-based courses throughout the medical curriculum and will serve as Course Director within the medical and PhD programs. The selected candidate will also serve as a facilitator for large group case activities, small group sessions, and case discussions. In addition to providing instruction, performing various administrative and service duties is expected. Participation in research initiatives and publishing your research and educational findings are encouraged. Minimum requirements for this position include a PhD or MD, or equivalent. Three (3) years of relevant teaching experience in medical education and previous experience as a Course Director are strongly desired.
