Prior to the conference, elections are held for Member-at-Large seats on the ABE Board of Directors and members of ABE Committees. The Board and Committees lead our organization in advancing its mission, which is to promote the critical foundational role of Biochemistry in healthcare education, to foster innovation in Biochemistry education, and to support the development and advancement of Biochemistry educators. The Board considers all proposals for new initiatives and serves as the planning committee for ABE biennial conferences. Service on the Board and Committees provide not only a valuable contribution to biochemistry education but also a unique opportunity for professional development. Board and Committee members gain professional recognition at the national level that may contribute to professional advancement.
